Hi. I’m Lynsey Fox - founder of The Home De-stresser. I have a passion for helping people fall in love with their homes again.

I have been working as an interiors stylist for television and photography since 2018. This involves creating beautiful spaces to be captured on film.

In 2021 I worked as an Interior Designer on Channel 4’s ‘Nick Knowles’ Big House Clearout’, designing stress-free spaces for families whose homes were previously full of clutter and mess. The show’s aim was to remove all the belongings into a big warehouse to enable the families to see everything they owned to help and encourage them to start decluttering. In the meantime, their home was being redesigned/redecorated. I created calm rooms with simple and practical storage solutions to prevent the mess from reoccurring.

In 2022 I worked back on season 2 of the show but this time Art Directing the warehouse: arranging ALL the belongings artfully to enable everything to be sorted through with ease. This was a very different job to designing rooms, but it really had an impact on me to see and touch each and every belonging once crammed in a home. It got me thinking about the reasons why people hold on to things or why they can’t get in the head space to start a clearout.

This feeling stuck with me and I wanted to help other people (off camera) to create peace and calm in their homes.

And so the creation of The Home De-Stresser.
